Look Good Feel Better X The Soni Collection
Today’s blog is a little outside the usual theme. I get the pleasure of highlighting Nancy Virdi. Nancy is a very talented MUA and an all around great person! She reached out to MARKET early this year to coordinate a collaboration in memory of her late mother. Nancy’s mother passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. Nancy has been working hard to raise awareness in her honor. One such project is the SONI Collection.
Through our collaboration, Nancy wanted to shed light on the Look Good Feel Better Organization (LGFB). As Nancy put it, “LGFB helps women with cancer by offering beauty workshops that give women the techniques and tools to be beautiful again. We forget that the best medicine doesn’t come in a bottle – there is a lot of emotional and psychological aspects involved with battling cancer. One of them being, restoring the ‘sense of self’ that helps define womanhood.”
She teamed up with LGFB and a Mississauga based RJS & Co to design a jewelry collection in memory of her mother. The Soni Collection, named after Nancy’s mother, consists of a beautiful necklace and set of earrings. The pieces are timeless and elegant. The pink beading effortlessly ties in the breast cancer awareness.
Cancer hits very close to home for me. I wanted to pair the right outfit with this campaign. In the end Nancy and I decided on the LIYA ensemble. This piece would act as an accent and not take away from the jewelry. And of course it's pink!
I encourage everyone to check out the collection and look into the LGFB foundation. It really is an amazing organization. And support the cause! 15% of all proceeds from the SONI Collection will go directly to the LGFB. Alternatively you can donate directly to the LGFB Organization.
